For everyone still experiencing this symptom in current intrepid, please
first ensure that you are not using any manually installed (i.e., in
~/.mozilla/firefox/...) Flash plugins, and second try:

sudo aptitude reinstall flashplugin-nonfree

Also, please report whether the steps resolve the symptom for you.

Note:  Again, the above procedure is relevant /only/ for current
intrepid (on either i386 or amd64 arch) using Ubuntu's flashplugin-
nonfree package of Flash 10 final!
