Hi this may be a bug with firefox or with windows vista. You could try
reporting it to firefox's bug tracking system or try getting in touch
with microsoft (though they probably try to charge you a bunch of money
for the conversation) there could also be some helpful forums discussing
problems with vista. Unless you are using ubuntu (checkout
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ubuntu to learn more) this is the wrong
place to report your bug.
I will say though that it sounds like your problem has to do with the
setting of your homepage. In the main tab of firefox preferences (in
windows go tools->preferences) there is a way to set your homepage. The
button is called "use current pages" this will actually use every page
you have open as your home pages. If you tried to have only the page you
want open and click this button it may solve your problem.
Good luck with that if you continue having problems please go to a vista
support channel. Aside from that you should give ubuntu a whirl
sometime, we are friendly people.
