[Bug 290687] [NEW] Firefox lockup intrepid

Intrepid Ibex Firefox 8.10  locks up frequently on site pages like
nytimes.com. 7-10 second freeze. Tried turning off Compiz but problem
remains. Hardy Heron works perfectly -no such problem
