Hi,

I had a problem that matched your description exactly. I found the
problem... I had a file in my .mozilla profile directory called
"sessionstore.js" that was owned by root:root. I changed ownership, and
it's working perfectly again.

To fix it, go to the terminal and type:

sudo chown -R `id -u`:`id -g` ~/.mozilla

Hope this solves your problem too.
