[Bug 291623] [NEW] Cannot get firefox 3 in intrepid

Public bug reported:

I cannot get firefox 3 to run after dist update to Intrepid.
When I run firefox only firefox 2 opens, even though firefox 2 is not installed. 
Also, my bookmarks, add-ons, and the general look (no back/forth buttons) is destroyed. 
Even downloading firefox 3 from Mozilla does not help, so maybe it is a Mozilla problem.
