---------------
This worked fine in Windows XP but I recently switch to Ubuntu (8.04 aka
Hardy Heron) and am now observing the following behavior:
I have two email addresses that wind up in the same mailbox. I have two
identities configured for that email account, one for each email address
that I use. One is a "work" address and one is a "personal" address.
It seems that no matter which identity I choose for sending email it
always winds up being "from" my work address.
Another symptom, which might be related, is under XP Thunderbird would
do a good job of not including my email address on a "Reply to All."
Now I'm seeing my own email address on the recipients list despite the
fact that it's the address that is showing up for my identity.
