I just got this with an RSS file, the issue only occurrs when Firefox is
told to open the file with firefox.

The file is loaded, it starts a new tab to view the file which loads the
file and then starts a new tab...

The work-around is to go to Preferences/Applications and search for "rss" (or whatever your file-type was)
Change the action for that file-type from Use-Firefox to something else.

Of course this still is a bug - as far as RSS goes, it's an XML document
so it should be possible to display it as we might any XML document.
