+ Additional information: when the below mentioned appeared, and when
+ closing firefox, it will stay invisible but active instead of actually
+ closing. It can then only be closed through the system monitor. Often
+ firefox has opened itself a second time, also invisible.

  When using a web page that uses java for uploading photos for printing
  the address part of a new tab shows the typing in the address part in
  reverse order. So, the typing direction is altered by either java or by
  firefox itself. I use firefox under ubuntu 8.10.
