[Bug 227689] Re: Using Ubuntu-Mozilla Firefox 3 Beta 5, there seems to be no way I can clean out the address bar autocomplete. If you respond, hope you will start me from Ubuntu or Firefox taskbar, eg click on Edit-Preferences, etc.

Not sure how Launchpad works, so I'm adding this comment in case my
report isn't associated with this same bug concern.

Running Firefox 3.0.5 on Ubuntu 8.10

Firefox Preferences settings not obeying check-box, un-selected "search
for text when I start typing".

Path/location: [Firefox 3.0.5] Edit/Preferences/Advanced/General
[tab]/searchfortextwhenIstarttyping [check-box][un-selected].

Would like to have a patch or update to correct this issue; if anyone
knows an XML edit to turn off the address bar search, that would do too.
(Yes, I know editing that would void warranty; don't care, just want
that annoying address bar search to stop.)
