Also please let us know if thiws happens in IMAP only or if you see it in POP. I am unable to reproduce with IMAP nor POP at this  time i tried IMAP on pop and IMAP also tested thnderbird-3 and thunderbird-2.0
I have no extensions in thunderbird except enigmail
