You want save and openwith to work the same? save to somewhere other than /tmp? same permissions?
>From what i gather from your comments this is not really a firefox issue. Open with should save to /tmp since you are not intending to keep it Until you save it in the doc viewer. When saving to disk using "save as" is saving the doc. with the intention of reading/editing later.
