[Bug 451530] [NEW] No error message on wrong password doing IMAP on gmx-account

Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: thunderbird
After starting Thunderbird I don't get an error message, when I type the wrong password for my email-account at gmx.de. But in this case I naturally cannot see my uncached mails, because I am accessing the mail-server via IMAP. So I need to restart Thunderbird to be asked again and type the correct password.
After having some discussions in an german thunderbird-forum, now I know this is a special bug only in the following constellation:
OS: both Linux and Windows
mail-cient: thunderbird (2.0.0.23)
mail-protocol: IMAP
mail-account at: gmx.de
It seems that all german users with this constellation have this
problem. gmx.de says it isn't their problem. It's not a heavy problem,
but it's annoying. Would be better to get an error message an to be
asked for the password again.
Regards from Germany
