Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: thunderbird

(1) Ubuntu 8.04;
(2) Thunderbird 2.0.0.23;
(3) Thunderbird keeps its hands off my addresses;
(4) Thunderbird adds unwanted quotes to email addresses that have hyphenated names, such as : freedos-user

I enter the correct address in the address book. Later when I use the
address when writing an email, I notice that quote marks have been
added. This results in my posts being bounced by the freedos-user
organization due to the wrong address. I ran clanscan but found nothing?

P.S. When I added a second entry for freedos-user with the name (of the
address) enclosed in square brackets and in caps, Thunderbird left the
address alone but put quotes around the square brackets enclosing the
name of the addressee.
