Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: firefox
If I type in a text field in firefox (including the URL box, but also
text boxes elsewhere), the autocompletion sometimes causes a user-
interaction problem. Specifically, if the mouse is in the region where
the autocompletion selections appear, when I type a character, the
autocomplete window appears for a flash, then disappears. when it
disappears, it leaves the text I've typed highlighted. the last point
means that my next keystroke replaces the previous one, resulting in the
wrong text. very messy.
everything works fine if the mouse is actually in the text box, and
everything works fine if the mouse is far enough outside the text box
that it is not over the autocomplete windown.
