I confirm post #34 - this happens for me on a fresh install of 10.04
without modifying Firefox or any of its settings. Every time I close my
laptop lid or the screensaver comes on, I either have to close Firefox
or minimize/maximize it. Quite annoying. Make it a paper cut, please?
