I will try 9.10 and see it works in that version. Anyone know?

Do you know if a fix is being developed? If so maybe I will wait for
it's release if I knew when it might be available.

I know about the Medibuntu installation.

I had already planed on a duel boot configuration for her first go-
round. I use Ubuntu on our travel machine so she is not totally new to
it.
