Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: firefox

This bug is a regression of Bug #8647 whereas middlemouse.contentLoadURL
has been re-enabled by default in firefox.

Requesting that middlemouse.contentLoadURL be disabled by default as
users experience unexpected behavior.

Use case: When middle clicking over a word (foo) firefox will bring you
to an *unexpected* web page (foo.com).

Users who use middle click intend to:
-Have a link open in a new tab
-Bring up the autoscroll icon (if enabled)

Workaround: This can be corrected by typing "about:config" in the
address bar ans searching for the line "middlemouse.contentLoadURL" then
double click that entry to change it from true to false.
