Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: thunderbird

NOT EXACTLY A BUG
HUMAN FACTORS PROBLEM

When there are new messages (sorted by filters into folders),
the FOLDER NAMES which receive the new messages are COLORED.
This COLOR is MUCH TOO DIM for me to see.

This is use of color doubtless intended as helpful.
For me, it is DREADFULLY UNHELPFUL.

The color (apparently tied without recourse to the colors from
the system>preferences>appearance) is TOO LIGHT TO SEE.

RECOMMEND:
[1] underline folder-names with new messages
    [2] give users a choice of color/underlining/blinking
where that choice is WITHIN THUNDERBIRD ITSELF
(with the other color choices which ARE provided)
