For the weekend plan, I think the earlier train makes more sense because it leaves room if anything shifts later.

I can handle the grocery stop on the way back, and I already made a short list so we do not forget the basics.

As for the seating arrangement, six people should fit comfortably if we use the longer table and move the lamp to the shelf first.
