If you would like to become official Ubuntu members, you must first
update your Launchpad profile and also your wiki page. Put in as much
information as possible but straight to the point (point-form is
sufficient). For more information, please refer to the following wiki
page:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Membership
Then, prepare some introduction text (before the meeting) such as your
full name, wiki page, from where, from which ubuntu team, your
contribution to ubuntu community as well as other open source
communities, etc. Once you have done it, add yourself to the "Member
candidates for next meeting" section on the RegionalBoards/AsiaOceania
wiki at the following wiki page:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Membership/RegionalBoards/AsiaOceania
Note the date and time of the next meeting and inform your
team-colleagues and friends to drop in to the meeting to give you
support & cheers.
Take note that they emphasize more on your contributions, especially
to ubuntu community. They will approved your membership based on your
explanation and contributions. So, good luck to all of you who wish to
register yourself as candidates of ubuntu members.
Cheers,
Nicholas Ng
