Did you backup all of your database from the old system by exporting all 
tables and then inport the old tables into the new one?

[If you can, I strongly suggest you do so. Such scripts are within the 
mythtv's but I cannot remember exactly where but if you do a search on 
database backups on the mythtv forums you will find them as well as 
instructions in their usage].

If not, then you will not get access to the recordings and more importantly, 
have all of your recording rules, what programmes you have previously recorded 
and watched etc, so will have to start again recording previous programmes .
