re installing vmware-player

I did as you said:
apt-get install vmware-player

all went well until, after "sudo /usr/bin/vmware-congig.pl"  there was:
"what is the location of the "make" program on your machine"

I have (synaptic) installed a GNU C+ compiler

What now
