Need help using my modem

well man right now i am using my same modem to send u the mail.talking
about the fact that i don't even have the windows driver too.it too
doesnot get recognized in windows,instead i have to get it recognized to
windows.
so i'm not surprised about the driver but willing to know the process or
steps for recognizing my modem in ubuntu.hope it gets recognize and works
fine.
