[ubuntu-nz] ZaReason Laptops anyone tried ?

Hi Ru,

I have one of the ZaReason UltraLaps .. got carried away loading it up
with RAM, disk, power adapters .. spent a bit more than I really should
have ;) Flies along quite nicely.

My biggest gripe I have about it is the keyboard .. mainly the space bar,
got to make sure you hit it closer to the centre. We've bought a number
of them for staff and they've had the same issues. Some of the multimedia
shortcuts keys don't seem to activate.

All going well the next iteration of models that come through will have
those niggles sorted.

For a machine without a legacy OS licence I'm willing to accept small hits
like that.

Some of the people where I work had also got the Alto (not available any
more) and have been quite happy with them.

Likewise the guy we got one of the Strata for.

Cheers,
Ian
