Hi Luciano,

I assumed that you wrote exporter-fix.patch yourself? Are these dep3 tags I made
correct?

Description: Fix ceph-exporter module build
Author: Luciano Lo Giudice <luciano.logiudice at canonical.com>
Bug: https://tracker.ceph.com/issues/58648
Forwarded: not-needed

Is there any impact to users now that the new binary ceph-exporter is built? I
can't see any debian packaging for it, so I don't think the binary is actually
packaged. If it is included in a package, Trent helped locate the documentation
of the module, which says it is disabled by default and must be manually opted
into:
https://docs.ceph.com/en/latest/mgr/prometheus/

Since patch-out-exporter.patch is dropped on the recent noble 19.2.1 point
release, I am okay with exporter-fix.patch enabling ceph-exporter, but you might
be asked about it by the SRU team.

I went and renamed inode-print.patch to lp2078906-inode-print.patch, and made
proper dep3 tagging for the patch. It took a while to track down the LP bug and
upstream patch, please include them next time so it is easy to locate
provenance etc.

I ran pkgdiff over ceph_17.2.9.orig.tar.gz (upstream) from https://download.ceph.com/tarballs/
and ceph_17.2.9.orig.tar.xz locally, and everything looks perfectly sensible.
There are only removals, mostly the upstream debian/ directory, blog posts and
generated documentation and proprietary fonts. Looks good, thanks.

I'm currently building test packages with -updates and -proposed enabled on
all arches, and I will do a full autopkgtest run tomorrow.

If everything looks good, and your happy with my changes to the debiff, I will
sponsor to jammy tomorrow, and I'll prep the focal-yoga build so its all ready
to go once jammy hits -proposed.

Thanks,
Matthew

Bug description:
  [Impact]
This release fixes several bugs. We would like to make sure all of our users have access to these improvements.

The update contains the following package updates:

     * ceph 17.2.9
     * Race condition prevention when printing Inode in ll_sync_inode (by Ponnuvel Palaniyappan)

  [Test Case]
The following SRU process was followed:

  https://documentation.ubuntu.com/sru/en/latest/reference/exception-
  OpenStack-Updates/

In order to avoid regression of existing users, the OpenStack team
will run their continuous integration test against the packages that
are in -proposed. A successful run of all available tests will be
required before the proposed packages can be let into -updates.

The OpenStack team will be in charge of attaching the output summary
of the executed tests. The OpenStack team members will not mark
  ‘verification-done’ until this has happened.

  [Regression Potential]
In order to mitigate the regression potential, the results of the aforementioned tests will be attached to this bug.
