Confirmed this is still unchanged for bionic and cosmic SRUs:

netplan.io/0.96-0ubuntu0.18.04.4
netplan.io/0.96-0ubuntu0.18.10.3

NetworkManager renderer works as expected; files are being written with
the .nmconnection suffix and work correctly.
