[Ubuntu-PH] suggestion for statistics software?

First thing comes to mind is the R Project[0]. I'm not sure if there is a
package for Ubuntu, but there is a Debian package[1] available for download.
**I haven't tried this yet though... There are other alternatives[2] like
octave, scilab, etc.. that you can choose from. If you get to try one of
those kindly post feedback as I would really like to use one too.
