Hi All,

In light of the Ubuntu-PH EB[1], everybody who has a PGP/GnuPG key(s)
is invited to particpate in the "Informal" Keysigning party/session to
be held during the said event.

Anyone who is interested in participating will need the following:

  * Printed copy (or copies) of your key ID(s) and fingerprint(s),
obtainable via `gpg --fingerprint <keyid>` (Hint: putting this in your
calling card is nice; also, you can use fingerprint slips like mine[2]
;)
  * A recent photo ID with handwritten signature, preferably
government-issued (such as passports) or school ID

With these in hand, all that is to do is to mingle with everyone else
and exchange each other's fingerprints, at the same time verifying
each other's identity by inspecting the ID(s).

If possible, please send your ascii-armored public key (`gpg --armor
--output <file>.asc --export <key>`) to me in private before the 13th.

Note that you don't need to bring your laptop or other computing
hardware to sign keys. In fact, keysigning only takes place after
meeting in person (hence rendering the event title quite misleading
;). The most important thing here is not the actual signing, but the
building of the web of trust among key-keepers :))

For more information, please visit GnuPrivacyGuardHowto[3] and the GPG
Keysigning HOWTO[4]. Also, you might want to use the signing-party[5]
package to automate creation of fingerprint slips and other
conveniences.

See you there at the EB!

Cheers,

Zakame
