[Ubuntu-PH] Ubuntu in PS3 - Please read on.

All,

I was wondering if you guys can help me with my ubuntu installation problem in ps3. me & my fellow kababayans here just purchased the 40gb version of the console this november. We were so excited to try the other OS option & Ubuntu was one of the leading distro that we wanted to try. Unfortunately we weren't able to install it at all.

but then again as i said, failed to install any of it.

The feisty 7.04 ISO was burned in different speeds using CD-R/+R/RW but ps3 wasn't able to detect it. 
The gutsy 7.10 was also burned the same way above but then otheros.bld wasn't found when trying to install it.

now when i checked the md5sum from the ones i dloaded it doesnt match the list from this site: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/UbuntuHashes
- question is ... is the hash list updated?

Your help & any info will be greatly appreciated specially on the big ps3 community of pinoys here in HK. and hopefully someday be a possible local base for ubuntu community.
