Another good news you may want to read...
http://www.eeeuser.com/2007/11/28/asus-addresses-gpl-concerns/
Recently, there have been
complaints<http://www.itwire.com/content/view/15490/>that ASUS may
have violated the spirit of the GPL by not releasing some
source code for certain parts of the default Eee PC Xandros installation. As
a result, it is difficult to gain certain Eee PC specific functionality when
using alternative Linux distributions.
ASUS has now posted more source
code<http://www.engadget.com/2007/11/26/asus-posts-more-eee-source-code-to-comply-with-the-gpl/>,
specificially for the ASUS_ACPI module, to help remedy the situation.
On the EeeUser forum, user quagga
reports<http://forum.eeeuser.com/viewtopic.php?id=3413>that the module
works fine under Ubuntu. Specifically, hotkeys function
properly once the module is loaded.
Now, about those wireless drivers…
--- will buy Eee next year and try to load it with ubuntu hehe :D
