The interested party would have to post to the upstream mailing list
and talk to them about which approach would be best.

As far as the other tools go, the best thing we can do is reach out to
the authors of gunity and confity and see if they'll join this list so
we can debate the technical merits of each approach. (I only mention
simple-ccsm because we've been shipping it for a while already).

Regardless of what path we take, having one good tool is probably
better than having 3 unfinished tools.
