I am mixed on rolling releases. I am partly intrigued, but I am very
concerened over the stability issue. But honestly, I don't find
Ubuntu too stable any more. Sometimes it is and sometimes it is not.
One release seems pretty solid and the next release things that were
fine previously no longer is.
Personally I think it is time to switch to a yearly release cycle. Six
months in they can stop accepting and spend the next six testing and
fine tuning the next release. I think we would all be better for it.
Not that my opionion matters to Ubuntu or probably most of the Ubuntu
community. I must admit, I am stutupid enough to get excited every
six months too! :)
