I found a bug in evince that effects multiple flavors

I have found a bug in Evince in first in Lubuntu utopic that does not let me select zoom with evince with the mouse and I also have been able to reproduce it in xfce in a virtual machine.

This still works in trusty. I can see this being really annoying on people with small screens or low vision.
