I'm definitely in favour of both.

Regarding the question of whether we need extra capacity on the team; as
well as redundancy generally being useful, I think it would help if we
had the time to help organise folks better to get the archive in shape
earlier in the cycle, rather than having to scramble quite so much after
feature freeze.
