Canonical has published "remixes" that included PPA packages, so there's
nothing novel about this. I can't seem to find the official definition of a Remix
on Ubuntu.com anymore, but IIRC UNR [1] was not fully in the archive when
initially released. I don't think the Moblin Remix [2] was either, but my
memory about that one is less clear.
I actually agree that is should not be a remix, but that's not the way the
term has been used so far.
