Yes, that'd be great.

Have a look at "apt-get changelog gnome-settings-daemon" (particularly the "-0ubuntu1" releases) to see how you could illustrate why a certain change was introduced or removed.

If you subsume patches in one patch, can you please also discuss this with the Debian maintainer? This would be just a measure to make sure that future changes won't have to be measured across patches.
