It's been submitted to upstream, but upstream are interested in performing a more complete overhaul of the tokenisation code to make separators configurable (and possibly completely also perform a more large-scale rewrite of the tokeniser at the same time), so I'd suggest that we use this patch for now and then sync with upstream once they have an implementation that they're happy with.
