Applied the same patch as applied in Debian (https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=779308) which was cherry-picked from upstream commits.
Fixes a bug due to the Gramps database being upgraded due to a switch to Python 3 causing strings to be converted using ASCII instead of Unicode.
