Its nice to give a little detail as to what issue the change is fixing when cherry picking - this allows an end-user to see from the changelog what might be resolve.

Something along the lines of the subject of the patch is generally a good idea:

  * RBD: Delete snapshots if missing in the Ceph backend (LP: #1415905):
    - d/p/cinder-306610.patch: Apply patch from review 306610.
