Hello,
we are currently running this patch in staging at SWITCH. Deployment to production expected in 3 weeks from now.

Feedback from openstack operators mailing list shows that at least two other deployments run the patch in production since Kilo.

Corey this will not fix a specific Ubuntu bug and it is more like a feature backport. I created this merge request to share with operator community. If there is a strong feedback from other operators to have this merged feel free to take action.

I will give more feedback 3 weeks from now.
