Thank you for your feedback!

So yeah, since it's quite a big change I did not expect us to be able to get all this sorted out for 20.04.2 - and I also feel we need to get this discussed. Since the discussion relates to basically all the series (not only focal), I might send out an e-mail to a ML as a start.

But as for focal - yes, so basically my idea here was: let's ignore component-mismatches. It's not nice, yes, but for stable series right now this does not block anything as all package migration is manual. My rationale for that was that currently we're building official Ubuntu images with universe and multiverse packages pre-installed anyway, so it's already somewhat like a theoretical component mismatch right there. So in principle the state won't change (besides the fact appearing on the mismatches page).

That being said, we did want to at some point enable migration from -proposed in stable series via britney. We even have branches for changes to sru-release to commit hints instead of performing manual package copies. And I guess then this would be a problem, so hm, let's maybe indeed wait and do it properly.

Because ultimately what I want us to achieve is to use seeds (or any equivalent) to manipulate *all* the image package contents. By having parts of the packages preinstalled via livecd-rootfs might be a bit problematic. It's highly unlikely that we'd be removing and/or changing any of the base packages though, so hm. I think I need to think about it a bit more to see if I'm okay with the current state in hirsute actually. Since now I'm actually leaning towards 'yes'.
