Admittedly the plan for .2+ LTS is uncertain.  I have a much larger version of this branch before which tried to answer this question but I was getting bogged down in the details, so I redid the branch focusing on the immediate problem.

My initial proposal for .2 LTS would be to manage the HWE kernel like today, which still results in that being in the pool, no different than today's ISOs if you choose the HWE option.
