that's definitely some shell scripting. If i'm reading everything correctly, this makes sense for the problem raised. It might be helpful for future posterity to have a bug linked against this, so future generations could get more context. took me a moment to remember some bits (sed -n and using p, and what would end up in the loop), but all appears correct
