I'm not sure we need anything directly from Mark. We are one of many
many teams. I don't think we can expect a large amount of his time given
all the other critical systems out there.

Note really. It's a relative term. I could say that they are immensely
popular but without something to compare to, it's meaningless.

Yeah, on other platforms they have nice tools, but OO.o is all I have
found that will do the job. I guess other tools like blender and
inkscape could be used, but I don't know those products.

You posted yours on 12th Sept. The translation page was started the next
day. Since then there have been over 50 edits of the translation page,
with more than 50 subtitle files now on the translation page:-

Not quite. The subtitle files are all attached to the above linked page.
As and when I get time I go through that page and and upload them to the

As someone who speaks Esperanto to translate them. Yes we need more
translators, and I've asked the loco teams to get people involved, and
some have. We have over 50 people subscribed to this mailing list for a
start.
One real problem is that the subtitles aren't actually that easy to
translate. If we could somehow upload them into launchpad we could get
them potentially translated much quicker because there is a large team
of people already using the launchpad translation system for existing
projects. We could leverage that group. Problem is that someone would
need to devote time to writing the tools to convert the srt files to
something lp could use. I can't do that, a launchpad developer could
though.
