Another note, rebooting still resolves the issue, as long as you perform
an apt-get purge before trying to install again (apt-get remove might
work too, I didn't try it).
When I rebooted and tried to install again BEFORE I did the purge, I got
this:
mfisch at tadow:~$ sudo apt-get install nut
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
nut is already the newest version.
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded.
1 not fully installed or removed.
After this operation, 0B of additional disk space will be used.
