[Bug 277704] [NEW] ssh fails with xmalloc: zero size

Public bug reported:

The latest openssh client in Intrepid (1:5.1p1-1ubuntu2) fails to
connect to certain hosts such as HP ProCurve switches and dd-wrt
routers. Attempting to connect to one of these systems (and possible
other system types) results in the following error:

$ ssh root at dd-wrt.example.com
xmalloc: zero size
$

This is a known bug that has been fixed upstream:

http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=497026

The fix is in 5.1p1-3 (see the above bug report.)

Would it be possible to get this update in for Intrepid? Currently the
only workaround is to downgrade to 4.7p1-8ubuntu1
