Bug #447585 :
Similar issues were observed but not with the euca tools. The de-registered images does not get displayed on executing euca-describe-images command but the similar changes are not reflected on eucalyptus UI. The status of de-registered and deleted images is displayed  on eucalyptus UI as de-registered. 

Is it a bug? or is there a way I can remove entries of de-registered
images from eucalyptus UI?

Also, to bundle a new image using  make-me-an-image utility the image
size required is atleast 10 GB .
