 	Hello Mr. Gug

 	Thanks for your reply. I did not follow instructions
 	on the installation. In the update manager I took
 	the defaults, ignoring what I noted in "4. Actual" in
 	the original message.

 	I fixed my error by complete removal of slapd followed
 	by a new install. Since the number of clients on the
 	server was less than one hundred, I decided to start
 	over rather than try to fix the broken database.

 	I'm sorry I can't be more specific since the incident
 	occurred about a month ago.

 	I reported the error because of the bug icon that appeared
 	after the upgrade finished.
