I had the same error message. I installed the GUI tool from the system-
config-samba package. There under settings->server-settings->security
you can choose the user for the guest account. It said no guest account.
I changed it to nobody and restarted smbd. After this I didn't get the
error any longer and sharing from nautilus worked like expected.

Hope this helps somebody else.
