I am still affected by this bug in Ubuntu lucid when trying to connect
to an HP Color LaserJet. It has got a memory card used by the built-in
scanner:

user at myhost:~$ smbclient //192.168.1.34/memory_card -U myuser
Enter myuser's password: 
Domain=[WORKGROUP] OS=[threadx] Server=[NQ 4.32]
smb: \> SMBecho failed. Maybe server has closed the connection
